Program Description
opose a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. It is a rigorous major developed with guidance from the American Anthropological Association. Students will understand and be able to apply anthropological theories and methods to the study of humanity past, present, and future. Students will be critical thinkers and effective communicators who are able to address emerging issues faced by humanity. Students will additionally be equipped with a core set of social science methods skills and theoretical perspectives and concepts from specific substantive areas of anthropological inquiry. SLO #1 (Diversity): Identify the ways in which diverse worldviews operate and are experienced at individual, cultural, and global levels and how they interact with human behavior, biology, material culture, and the environment.
SLO #2 (Theory): Identify and describe anthropological theories and concepts relating to human biocultural evolution and the impact of historical forces in shaping approaches to understanding the human condition.
